Examination Rules

College Examinations : As prescribed by the Academic Council of the Utkal University & Council of HIgher Secondary Education, Odisha, there shall be pretest and Test examination
for the +3 Degree course of each year and +2IInd yr. classes before appearing Final / Annual University / Council Examination every year. +2 1st year students have to appear the Half yearly & college Annual Examination . Every student is required to appear at all these examinations during a session. A student who absents himself from any of the college examinations shall be fined unless he applies to the Principal with satisfactory explanations. A student who is found in possession of incriminating material or adopting any unfair means in any college examination shall be fined and in the concerned paper the student will be awarded zero or any other punishment as decides in staff council.

Examination of University / Council :

The University conducts one Annual Examination every year for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students of +3 Degree course. The Council of Higher Secondary Education conducts one examinations for +2 Arts, Science & Commerce streams at the end of the 2nd year.

Registration :

Every student admitted to the course in a college or a student migrating from anohter University shall have to register himself/ hefeself as a student of University/Council. On admission into the +2 course and+3 course, a student pays fees for registration of his/her name by the Council of Higher Secondary Education or University respectively. The registration is essential for permission to sit for a CHSE/ University Examination and the registration receipt is required to be produced at the time of filling up application form for admission to each CHSE/University Examination.

Attendance At Lectures :

A student shall be requried to attend atleast 75 percent lectures, tutorials and practical classes taken separately in each subject in each academic year. Condonation by CHSE / University may be granted only to the extent of 15 percent is exceptional cases subject to production of satisfactory evidence/documents.

Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha Examination Act & Regulation :

Eligibility :-

Every student is to register his/her name in the Council where the college is affiliated. The registered students are eligible to appear at the Annual Examination in Arts/ Science/
Commerce streams provided that he/she has completed two academic sessions after passing the High School Examination or any equivalent examination. A candidate can take the Higher Secondary Examination in Arts/ Commerce privately only on production of proficiency certificate from the Head of an Institution.

Pass Mark :-
The pass mark in theory & practical shall be 30 percent & 40 percent of the maximum marks respectively in each subject. The pass mark in the aggregate shall be 30 percent
